Thank you to all the followers, faithful readers and friends who have visited Cottage Garden throughout 2012. I have thoroughly enjoyed my three and a half years at the helm of this little space in the Blogosphere, but feel it is now time to hang up my 'blogging boots' and bid you a fond farewell.
Wherever you are in the world may I wish you a Joyous Christmas and a Happy, Peaceful and Wonderful New Year!
With love

Happy Christmas Jeanne. I will miss your posts too, but hope 2013 holds everything you wish for. Love Molly xx
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear of your decision to stop blogging, but no doubt you have your reasons. I will miss dropping by and reading your interesting posts, as well as your Monday poems. You have introduced me to so many poets and poems, I've never really been one for poetry, but find I'm enjoying it more and more as I get older. I wish you and your loved ones a very merry Christmas, and a happy, healthy and prosperous 2013.
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas Jeanne, I'm so sorry you're hanging up the boots as I will miss you. Perhaps you may get them out and give them a little dusting once in a blue moon? I have loved your little space here, and your friendly, thoughtful comments too. Wishing you much health and happiness in 2013 and beyond.
ReplyDeleteTake care xox Kate xox

Merry Christmas, Jeanne! And thank you for being a lovely blog friend, you'll be missed.
ReplyDeleteDear Jeanne,
ReplyDeleteI know I am not alone to feel a pang of regret about your decision to step away. Your space has been uplifting and inspiring and has left me wishing I could get to know you personally. Tomorrow we will indulge in a bottle of 1989 Vouvray and I will send a smile and happy wish your way as I sip it.
Peaceful, happy Christmas, Jeanne. I wish you much love and inspiration and, if you have a moment, please stay in touch.
Love,
Stephanie

ReplyDeleteBuon natale!
ReplyDeleteOh no, what is this? Where will I get my culture fix from now on? Where will I find garden inspiration or know what good books to read? Where will I be reminded of long forgotten poets or poems? I shall really miss you Jeanne. I've made some great 'friends' via blogs and you have been one of the classiest and most genuine. Do keep dropping in on us sometime or e mailing to let us know how you are... and if you're ever in Pembrokeshire... don't you dare travel here without letting me know. You will be greatly missed. xx
ReplyDeleteHappy Christmas Jeanne from across the pond.

Okay, that was a nice try, wishing us a Merry Christmas and just slipping in the news that you're deserting us in the middle of the blogosphere, leaving us all to wither and waste away, as if we wouldn't notice.
ReplyDeleteEveryone else can be all polite and whatnot, but I'd just like to say:
WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!
Also,
Boo! Hiss! I'm against this sort of thing!
Also,
Merry Christmas!
I shall miss your kind and gentle postings and photos! All so beautiful. Perhaps you will leave your blog up so I can read posts I have missed? Have a wonderful season and best wishes for any new endeavours!
ReplyDeleteSorry to read that you're stopping blogging. I have really enjoyed your blog over the last few years and wish you much happiness and success in the further. I shall miss your posts. Take care, and embrace life ;-)

I hope that you enjoyed the festivities Jeanne. I will miss your posts - where am I going to get my poetry fix from and have my wanderlust satisfied? Thanks for all your lovely and supportive comments on my blog over the years. I hope that perhaps you have a change of heart at some stage in the future and that this turns out to be an au revoir rather than a final farewell. Take care and may the new year treat you, all those you love and your garden kindly xxx
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Jeanne! You will be missed and I hope 2013 gives you all your heart desires!

You will be much missed Jeanne.
ReplyDeleteMay you find great joy in whatever the future holds for you x
Happy New Year, Jeanne! And thank you for your inspiring blog, I've enjoyed reading it so much!
ReplyDeleteThe cold and dark winter has totally freezed my blog. I wonder if the same happened to you too? Still, I hope we'll meet again somewhere in blogosphere, when the Spring wakes us up. Meanwhile, let's stay by the fireplace with a good book in hand and the cat sleeping on lap.
I attach here a small poem, to strengthen the faith for the Spring :) Take care!

Ode To Spring
(by Sonya Florentino)
It snowed today
Again
Like yesterday
And once more
Snow tomorrow
A harsh winter
That's what they say
Colder than it's ever been
Snow like we've never seen
Spring... it will be late
But I will wait, for like fate
Spring always follows
It has never failed me
Even under 6 feet of sorrow
No matter how long I burrow
Spring somehow always finds me
Dear Jeanne, sorry to see you go:(, but wish you all the best in the future.:) And who knows, maybe you will be back some day.;)
ReplyDeleteHappy and prosperous new year to you and yours, take care
xoxo
So many of my favorite bloggers are saying goodbye these days that i'm feeling a bit grumpy. I will miss you, Jeanne—it's been wonderful "meeting" you at Cottage Garden. This is such a peaceful place. Thanks for everything. All my best. xo
ReplyDeleteDear Jeanne,
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry to hear you're leaving the blogworld. Your beautiful voice is needed here and I love dropping by your haven of beautiful words and pictures. I'm so thankful we found eachother out there in the big blogworld that time. A wonderful blogsister who I'll miss something terrible.
But I understand and support your decision 100%. Life is so much more than the blogworld and I guess there comes a time when one feel that it's time to go. To move on. But I do hope that you maybe will come back one day and we'll be here waiting.
Take care my friend and good luck with everything and have a fantastic 2013.♥

ReplyDeleteDear Jeanne,
ReplyDeleteAfter a long break I am back to the blogworld and was keen to read what´s going on in your little blog space, and now you are leaving...I am so sorry to read this but I can understand it. My blogging break lasted for almost a year, I was so tired of blogging and thought I´d never publish a post anymore. But now I´m back, full of energy!
I hope you and yours are fine and that maybe some day you will pop up again in this beautiful little space. In the meantime I will miss your posts...
Liebe Grüße, Bärbel
I hope you are keeping well and enjoying the beginning of Spring.
ReplyDeleteTake care Jeanne...

Jeanne, A busy, granddaughter-filled winter has kept me from realizing until now that Tales From a Cottage Garden has gone silent. I am so sorry for those of us who miss it, and I want to give you my thanks and appreciation for the way it has enriched my world.
ReplyDeleteThe graceful and profound loveliness you created here carried me through some very challenging years. And through all of that time I was lifted up by vicarious field trips and vacations, gardening and poetry, lovely musings and images... and touches of the books I will one day have time to read again. You reminded me that i have a brain, you fed my heart, you gave me hope that there are kindred souls out there doing and thinking wonderful things.
Thank you so very much.. Yours has been my favorite of the delightful blogs I follow and I wish you the very best as your life continues to unfold. May you receive in full measure the joy and inspiration you have given to so many.
