Afternoon Joy

bring in the logs and the kindling ...

gather cones and sprigs of fresh rosemary from the garden for a sweet-smelling fragrance ...

... add to the fire and watch the flames dancing in mesmerising light

Relax in your favourite chair ...

with a good book and a glass of wine ...

Add an adorable kittie ... and what do you have?

My recipe for a lazy Autumn Saturday afternoon, a welcome treat - what's yours?

Yes, that sounds perfect! My favorite autumn afternoon includes a fire, a glass of red wine, classical music and my husband gone to see a football match ;-)

Our Winters here can be very harsh so I enjoy every minute I can find outdoors in the beauty that Autumn shares.
I'll save the snuggling by the fire, some knitting in my hand and a kittie on the lap for when the snow begins to fall.
Either way it is a great way to spend a day.

(thats the riddle on "marenshus" - maybe it is a little bit difficult to translate, so i tell you here)...

That looks so inviting, relaxing and cosy. I could just curl up in that chair.

You have decided it for me - I am going to take up my knitting and go and sit by the fire! Your pictures of your house look lovely, and I rather like the look of your books, too! But I will have a cup of tea to drink, and maybe a piece of cake.

Looks blissful to me... I'm not very good and sitting down on a Saturday afternoon and not feeling guilty that I should be doing something. But with the evenings drawng in so early it's nice to find a cosy chair and a purring cat or two and put your feet up.

Those cats are pleased they found you ;-)

Oh what a wonderful post! Is that your front door? I find your cozy cottage so delicious. You are blessed.

And that garden door that I used in my sidebar to lead to your blog, always makes me want to go through it. I would dream to have a garden gate like it.

There's an award on my blog for you. I hope you will accept it.
